Latina Gathering is a model organization, known locally for
being a proactive leader in the development and advocacy of
local Latina women.  Latina Gathering empowers all Latina
women through its commitment to culture by promoting
education, professional advancement, leadership
development and community involvement. Latina Gathering
empowers women to be responsible, knowledgeable and
productive citizens and to serve as an effective voice for the
Hispanic community.  Latina Gathering works collaboratively
with other local community agencies to encourage the
education and professionalism of future Latina leaders.
Scholarship

Latina Gathering (LG) was founded in 2001 as a result of
the Hispanic Leadership Series of Berks County,
Pennsylvania and a series of meetings among concerned
Latina women.  What began as casual, social gatherings
evolved into intense discussions and shared experiences.
 We recognize that Latina women have unique cultural
and social challenges as well as opportunities.  Our
diverse backgrounds in the corporate, public and
educational sectors were mobilized to develop a
mechanism to empower other Latina women.  Latina
Gathering has brought together Latinas of all generations
aimed at helping each other toward integrating with the
mainstream and simultaneously maintaining our unique
Latina culture. Latina Gathering will work to empower,
educate and advocate for the continued advancement of
all Latina women.
